Your mission:

The talent acquisition advisor is responsible for implementing innovative and talent acquisition strategies specific to the visual effects industry. The talent acquisition advisor must also develop and maintain a database of the best potential talented artists for all key VFX positions (and MELS) in order to support MELS postproduction and more specifically our visual effects department, in its growth, in a proactive manner.

The talent acquisition advisor is fully responsible for the recruitment for MELS, for a wide variety of positions ranging from entry level to managerial positions. This is distinguished by the experience candidates will have throughout the different stages of the recruitment process.

Your responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the annual staffing needs in relation to the strategic plan and schedule of future mandates/projects;
  • Establish innovative strategies for recruitment, aligned with the planning of staffing needs, working in collaboration with our human resources department;
  • Help optimize the recruitment process and tools in place in order to boost and modernize our job offers;
  • Depending on the job offer, help determine the appropriate networks to post the job offers;
  • Actively participate in the improvement of the job offer section on the MELS website;
  • Establish partnerships with educational institutions specific to the VFX and postproduction industry to put in place and internship process for postproduction;

Talent screening and attraction:

  • Develop and retain a database of of talent based on key positions (joining communities within the visual effects industry, developing a network of key managers, participating in specific networking events);
  • Build trust with candidates and present an attractive offer and career opportunity at MELS;
  • Ensure the visibility and vacancy of job offers that are available and participate in relevant events (job fairs);
  • Keep up to date with the various practices and trends in talent screening and attraction;
  • Build strong and credible relationships based on trust with managers and HRP to understand their business and hiring needs, difficulties encountered as well as their business objectives;
  • Ensure and acquire a deep understanding of the visual effects and postproduction industry as well as its competitive market;

Recruitment:

  • Work alongside managers to determine or update any job posting;
  • Facilitate the process for job requests;
  • Establish the recruitment and attraction strategy in line with demand;
  • Coordinate the various staffing activities;
    • Coordinate the posting of job offers on various sites, recruitment agencies, universities and other establishments;
    • Evaluate and filter job applications to create a short list of candidates for the manager;
    • Conduct phone interviews with the chosen candidates and provide a written report of the feedback to the managers;
    • Accompany managers, if necessary, during interviews;
    • Perform a salary analysis to be presented to PARH in order to obtain the necessary approvals;
    • Gather all detailed and relevant information on candidates for the draft contracts;
    • Prepare the job offer;
    • If necessary, make the offer to the candidate;
    • Update application files;
    • Provide updates to HR and business partners on the status of vacancies and recruitment indicators;
    • Support human resources management in analyzing data on recruitment activities;
    • All other related tasks.

Your profile:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position (sourcing, talent acquisition, etc.);
  • B.A. in Human Resource Management or other related disciplines;
  • Mandatory bilingualism, both written and oral (international recruitment);
  • Be established in the visual effects industry or related sectors;
  • Continually on the lookout for best practices and latest trends in attracting talent;
  • Energetic, creative and passionate about recruitment;
  • Strong ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and manage pressure;
  • High sense of organization;
  • Negotiating skills;
  • Basic knowledge of different technology platforms at the level of "talent hunting" (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
