MELS OBTAINS DOLBY ATMOS CERTIFICATION
Montreal, September 30, 2020 – MELS is pleased to announce that it has obtained Dolby Atmos Home Entertainment 9.1.4 certification. It means MELS will have state-of-the-art sound mix design technology that delivers an immersive, surround-sound experience by means of spatialized sound objects placed outside conventional channels. Dolby reserves this certification for companies that meet the highest standards in order to provide moviegoers around the world with optimal sound quality.
Dolby Atmos certification positions MELS to remain an out-front leader in film production and postproduction and helps secure its future. Certification will enable MELS to attract major projects and will support international sales – a winning proposition not only for MELS but for the entire Quebec film and television industry. It also means MELS now meets Netflix’s requirements for its original productions.
“We are proud to offer this technology, which meets our business development objective of offering our customers the best technology and the best service,” said Martin Carrier, President of MELS.
