Guillaume Boursier

Sound Designer
For the past several years, we've worked hard to expand our knowledge base, going beyond clichés and conventions in sound design.
Guillaume Boursier

Guillaume sees himself as a communicator, first and foremost. “I facilitate communication. Dialogue is an essential part of the creative process,” he says.

But how do you talk about sound, something that doesn’t exist until it’s created? Everyone knows what the color blue looks like, but how do you define a soundscape? “Everyone has their own way of describing a particular sound. We have to develop a universal language so that everyone is working toward the same goal.”

Because there are so many different phases of sound postproduction at MELS, Guillaume seeks to facilitate dialogue between directors and our various postproduction artists. “To make magic, you have to build magical connections.”
